FutureMe SA (“we”) creates AI-generated images from photos you upload. This policy explains what personal information we process and why, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

• Your photo — the image you upload, used only to create the image you ordered.
• Your first name and, if you choose, email and cell number — for your order and receipt.
• Order & payment records — what you ordered, the amount and payment status. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
• Technical & usage data — an anonymous visitor ID and page/step events (for example “upload completed”) to improve the product, and a salted hash of your IP address for abuse prevention. We don't store your raw IP address.

How your photo is processed

Before anything is stored or paid for, your photo is automatically checked by an AI vision service to confirm it shows one clear adult face and nothing inappropriate. It is then sent securely to a third-party AI image provider solely to generate the image you ordered. We do not sell your photos or use them to train our own models, and we ask our providers to process them only to fulfil your order.

Your original photo is deleted as soon as your image is ready (and no later than 7 days in any case; unpaid uploads are deleted within 24 hours). Photos are stored in private storage that only our servers can access.

Your generated image

Your image is kept in private storage so you can download it from your private order link — only someone with your link can view it — and is deleted automatically after 14 days. You can delete your photo and image yourself at any time from your order page, or ask us to. Every image carries an “AI-generated” label and a reference code so that misuse can be reported.

Reports and removals

Anyone can report an image using the reference code on it at /report. Reports about consent, harassment or a child hide the image immediately while we review it. We may permanently remove images and block people who misuse the service. For this we keep a hashed version of your IP address and an anonymous device identifier.

Who we share data with

• Our AI providers: an image-checking service and an image-generation service (your photo, and your selected transformation for generation).
• Our payment provider (order reference, amount, and email/cell if you gave them).
• Our hosting and database providers, who store data on our behalf.

Some of these providers process data outside South Africa. We only use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.

Adults, and your own photo only

You must be 18 or older, and you may only upload a photo of yourself. Photos of other people, and of children, are not allowed, and our automatic checks are designed to refuse them.

AI-generated content

All images are AI-generated for entertainment. They are not a prediction of your real future or appearance.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its processing. Contact us using the details provided where you purchased. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
